The System
What Is Flexitec 2020?
Flexitec 2020 is a flexible, fibre-reinforced GRP (glass-reinforced polyester) waterproofing resin system manufactured by RESTEC Roofing Systems. It cures to form a tough, seamless, fully bonded waterproof membrane.
Unlike traditional GRP systems — which are generally associated only with timber roof decks — Flexitec 2020 has been engineered to bond to a much wider range of correctly prepared substrates, which is where its name comes from: one resin, applied flexibly across many surfaces.
Where an existing roof covering is assessed as suitable, Flexitec may allow that surface to be overcoated rather than completely stripped back — subject to individual survey and manufacturer approval. Every installation is assessed on its own merits before any system is specified.
